
The Committees on Government Assurances
(Rajya Sabha) in their Review meeting held
in 2001 and 2002 had commended the outstanding
performance of STCL and also appreciated
STCL for maintaining its high level of productivity,
increase in turnover and profit over the
years in the highly competitive and liberalized
environment. The Committee also stated that
all other Public Enterprises too should
share from the experience of Spices Trading
Corporation Limited and emulate from its
success story.
2. The Committee on Public Undertakings
(COPU) constituted by the Parliament has
also placed on record in the Study Report,
their appreciation for having performed
exceptionally well in terms of turnover,
profit and productivity and for growing
from strength to strength.
3. The Controller and Auditor General of
India has placed on record in Report No.1
Review of Accounts dated 25.9.04 to 1.10.04;
appreciated the performance of STCL wherein,
the company is one amongst the top ten Public
Sector Undertakings in India which have
exported goods / rendered services exceeding
Rs.100 Crores during 2002-2003 on the basis
of ratio of export to their net sales, vide
reference no. 43066 / 80 DL-14024 / 2004.
4. STCL also secured an achievement award
from Spices Board, Government of India for
having exported the highest quantity of
Cardamom during 1987-88.
